Final project - two versions

Trying to decide which I prefer. The darker one is a reworking of the other adding more weight to some of the lines in the background. I'd love some feedback!

Final Project - Further Thoughts

After speaking with Grace at class, I had an idea to have my collage animals invading typical NYC scenes. I toyed with scenic places, like the arch at Washington Square Park and Central Park, but decided I wanted to use this as a kind of social commentary, instead. For my final project, I'm going to draw a street scene with a sleeping homeless person and some trash cans. Invading the scene will be a fox behind the cans, a deer which is curious about the homeless person, and a bird of some kind (of course). I'm considering using Pale Male, the famous redtailed hawk who lives in NYC.

Here are some images that have inspired me:

Final Project

For my final project, I want to do a work of art. I'm interested in exploring birds in a human environment, specifically the city. The overlap of our worlds, and especially the fact that we mostly ignore the birds and animals around us in the city, fascinates me. My intention is to draw a city scape or skyline from the vantage point of a high window ledge. Then I'll place on the ledge a collaged bird. Here are some images which have inspired my thinking:
